Warming Up Before Workout
Genesis will typically spend at least 15-20 minutes warming up before moving on to weights. She does this to get more blood into her muscles, thus avoiding injuries and other problems when lifting heavy weights.
As for the specific types of warm-ups Genesis does, she doesn’t have the same routine all the time. She likes to get creative, and change things up every week.
Sometimes, she’ll practice dance, or run long-distances as a warm-up. Or sometimes, she’ll jump ropes or do a few light sets of an exercise.
While Genesis is well known for having awesome legs and glutes. She says, she didn’t always look this fit. To sculpt her amazing physique, Genesis went through rigorous training regimens. Which included this glute workout;
- Barbell Squats, 4 sets of 10-12 reps (30 seconds rest if doing light sets, 60 seconds if doing heavy)
- Lunges, 4 sets of 12 steps
- Goodmornings, 4 sets of 10-12 reps
- One-Legged Glute Kickbacks on the Cable, 4 sets of 12 reps
- Step up with kickbacks, 4 sets of 12 reps
- Bodyweight Hip Thrusts on a mat, 4 sets of 12 reps
However, just like with her cardio, Genesis will change and modify her workouts often; every couple of weeks or so.
The Importance of Clean Diet
Genesis is a firm believer in diet over anything else when it comes to staying fit. This is how Genesis’ diet looks, in her own words; “Most common question I get (besides my ethnicity), is what do I eat…. No processed sugar no flour, that’s how I keep my stomach so flat!
Now I’m not saying I don’t indulge here and there, but my diet consists mainly of veggies and fish. I have a very clean, pretty Asian based diet that’s high in protein, moderate fat and low in processed foods. Eat as fresh as possible, stay away from sugar!!! 80% diet 20% gym!” – Genesis Lopez

Supplementation of Genesis Lopez
For supplements, Genesis doesn’t take anything besides a basic whey protein powder, and BCAAs. She meets all of her requirements for nutrients through whole, organic foods.
However, if Genesis spends a lot of time in a place where there is not a lot of sun. She’ll add a vitamin D3 in capsules to her supplement regimen. Sufficient levels of Vitamin D3 help Genesis build more muscle. It also keeps her overall health ‘in check’.
